Omaha? I just moved here.. And have been looking for some good jalop cars to run with in the winter, slim pickings in comparison to the east coast I tell ya. And these guys the Internet car lot, seem to have all salvaged or rebuilt vehicles, and why are there such high mileage on used cars around here !!!

Looking at used Focus or base Impreza..anything now really. Except chevy, my girl had a bad run in one and wants me avoid them like the plague...any suggestion on car meets around the area? The general cars and coffee variety..I see a lot of cool cars driving around but not able to pinpoint where or when they go on..

Absolutely. The big Coffee & Cars is from 9-11 AM on Saturday the 19th. It’s at pinnacle bank on 180th off Dodge street. I will be at that one. There’s also a smaller one every Saturday morning from like 7-10 at the Hyvee on 156th and maple. Also, there’s this event , which only occurs once a year. I’ll be at that as well.

Take a look through my page and you’ll see that Omaha has a rather diverse car culture for such a “small” Midwestern town. Also, what other requirements do you have for your car (budget, etc)? I/my family know several dealers in town who deal in a variety of price brackets.

All events look brilliant.. I’ll probably be at all the events too. I think I can put my car in the Laurtzen garden event, NJ plates and all. Lol

I’m looking at something around the 10k price range, need to finance, so I need something relatively new I guess. Let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks

I don’t have any connection to Baxter but they own most of the new car dealerships in town so they might be your best net. You might also try Carmax. For this sort of vehicle, you mostly just scan Cars.com/Autotrader until the right car shows up. But check back on Baxter’s website, they don’t post all their inventory to the car search sites for some reason. If you decide you want something slightly older and more European (which I can’t say is the best idea) most of the dealers I know deal in that sort of thing.
